For the first time in over 50 years, the White House will be hosting a Conference on Hunger, Nutrition and Health. The Conference intends to drive significant change to end hunger, address health and nutrition, reduce diet-related disease, and close the surrounding disparities. At this event, the federal government will be announcing a national strategy to catalyze the changes needed to reach these goals.
To inform the plan, the Biden-Harris Administration wants to hear from everyone, particularly from those with lived experiences of hunger and diet-related diseases. Food Systems for the Future (FSF), along with its partners, World Central Kitchen, Chicago Council on Global Affairs, and the Gerald J. and Dorothy R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University have come together in a joint effort, independent of the White House, to assist in elevating and uplifting the voices of community stakeholders and impacted individuals to help solve the issues at the heart of the Conference. To support and enable convenings of Local Dialogues, we have created the Good Food Dialogues Platform, which provides tools and resources to assist you and your community in holding the Local Dialogues that are critical to the success of the White House Conference.
To provide every voice equal opportunity to be heard, the costs associated with hosting a Dialogue must not be a hindrance. If the financial burden of hosting a Dialogue is a challenge for you or your organization, we encourage you to fill out our Financial Support Application to be considered for a grant opportunity.
The Biden-Harris Administration needs to hear from you! If you have any questions, please email us at [email protected].
